Our Vegan Shepherds Pie consists of a delicious blend of different vegetables including tomatoes, spinach and onions with added protein from the lentils, all seasoned with fresh herbs and spices, all topped with a delicious, sweet potato mash. Packed full of essential vitamins and minerals as well as being a source of protein. This is the perfect wholesome and nourishing dish to end the day.

Lentils add texture, substance and taste to this meal and are very highly nutritious. If you are looking for a great source of plant-based protein then lentils it is. They contain many essential amino acids as well as many important vitamins and minerals like folate, iron and dietary fibre.

Sweet potatoes of course add that sweetness and heartiness to this dish while being loaded with essential nutrients and and different health benefits. Sweet Potatoes are high in antioxidant like beta-carotene and vitamin C. The health benefits of these range from supporting a healthy immune system to reducing inflammation and scavenging harmful free radicals in the body!

We all know it's important to get in your daily greens and this dish can help you with that. The Spinach in the sweet potato mash gives this dish added important phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals. Spinach is well known for its nutritional qualities and it contains significant amounts of Vitamin K, A and folic acid.

Storing Instructions

Keep refrigerated under 5 degrees Celsius at all times and consume by the date shown. Suitable for freezing before use by date shown. Consume within 3 months from date of freezing.

Cooking Instructions

Microwave
Gently pierce film once. Heat in a microwave (900w) for 4-5 mins or until piping hot. Use extreme caution when hot.
Oven
Preheat oven at 150 degrees celsius (Fan Assisted) or Gas Mark 3. Do not pierce film. Place in centre of oven for 15 - 20 mins or until piping hot. Use extreme caution when hot.
