Our Upstream Benedict is a healthy twist on the traditional eggs benedict. The upstream eggs Benedict consists of two poached eggs that are served with a smoked salmon and spinach potato cake with added spring onions and chives for flavour.

The smoked salmon is rich in flavour and taste and when it comes to fish salmon is one of the healthiest. It is a great source of heart healthy monounsaturated fatty acids. It is high in iron and dietary protein which are essential for a good functioning body.

Spinach really is a super green and there's a reason why it was Popeye's veg of choice! It is an excellent source of Vitamins K, A and C as well as folic acid, iron and magnesium. Spinach is high in chlorophyll, a health promoting carotenoid which have been known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.

Eggs are a great source of high quality protein and contains all your essential amino acids that can only be found through the diet. They are also rich in choline, an important nutrient that plays a role in many function in the body.

And of course the delicious and crispy potato cake that holds everything together. This will not only hit the right spots but the high carbohydrate content will you energy in the morning.

Storing Instructions

Keep refrigerated under 5 degrees Celsius at all times and consume by the date shown. Suitable for freezing before use by date shown. Consume within 3 months from date of freezing.

Cooking Instructions

Microwave
Carefully remove sauce pot. To heat, remove and place the potato cake on a plate or leave in existing tray and microwave(800w) for 90 seconds. Add the eggs and continue to heat for 1 minute or until piping hot. Use extreme caution when hot
Oven
Preheat oven at 150 degrees celsius (Fan Assisted) or Gas Mark 3. Carefully remove sauce pot. Do not pierce film of main compartment. Place in centre of oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until piping hot. Use extreme caution when hot.
