4 Weeks to Summer Maintenance
Congratulations, you’ve been doing so well and are on target to reach your goal. But what now? This isn’t the time to revert to old habits. From now you should see some positive new behaviours adopted and it shouldn’t seem like some structured effort to get to where you want to be. Your progress should be empowering and motivating you to get to that goal. But what happens when you reach your goal?
As mentioned above new habits should have formed and your healthy eating plan should feel like a part of your daily routine. Reaching for the more beneficial snacks in place of old culprits that left you feeling slumped should be second nature. Moving towards a maintenance is best done in manageable increments. Diving right back to your old ways can often shock the system.

weight loss and reduction in calories you might have become used to eating less food, so it’s best to reassess your calories needs and not increase your calories excessively.
Plan ahead – Do your best to maintain your healthier eating habits despite changes in routine, eating out, special occasions. By planning and being mindful of your choices, you can simply stay on track.
Keep it interesting– Mix things up a bit to keep it interesting, order some different GourmetFuel meals to try, try a new fitness class or buy a new gym outfit.
Watch your weight– Although you may have gotten to your magic number on the scales, it’s important you keep track of it. There is no need to weight yourself everyday but once a week will help you ensure you are controlling your intake and maintenance successfully.
Keep setting yourself goals – you may have reached one goal but continuing with setting milestones to keep up your healthy diet and exercise regime is a great manageable and motivating tool.
