Meal times can be a busy and sometimes stressful time in the family home. Grocery shopping and meal planning for a family takes time and energy. More often than not, you find yourself repeating your go-to meals or spending more money than planned.
For those busy days, when managing to find time to cook seems impossible and the last thing you feel like doing is cook a meal from scratch, our new Mini Meal range is just what you need to feed the family and can introduce a world of new flavours, as well as helping to reduce spending and food waste!
Eating as a family
Eating as a family is a great way to spend some quality time together. Our meals allow you to save time on prepping/cooking so that you can spend time on the important things like creating healthy habits at home. Here are some tips on how to make the most of family mealtimes:
1. Get the kids involved! Involve the kids in picking the meals, setting the table and clearing up. Once they are old enough, why not encourage them to read the sleeves that come with our meals where they will learn the story behind where their food is coming from, see engaging pictures and start to understand the different ingredients that make up a meal!
2. Switch off the TV - Make mealtimes a screen-free zone. Use the time to talk about your days and the food you are eating.
3. Be flexible - Family life is busy. From work to after-school pick-ups and sports and activities, meal times can sometimes be a bit chaotic. Plan to have meals at a time when most of the family can be there, having our meals there to pop into the microwave or oven allows for more flexibility around meal time.
4. Be a role model - Serve healthy meals and have the kids see you eating healthy foods. Children learn from the adults in their lives!
