    Caesar Salad with Hardboiled Egg

Posted by Nikki Moans on 11th Jun 2024

    ?

We've swapped the chicken for an egg! The Caesar Salad with Hardboiled Egg is great for those looking for a meat free option with a classic taste! Served with sundried tomatoes and pine nuts on a bed of Cos lettuce and our signature Caesar dressing on the side.

Eggs are a high quality source of protein with the egg white being a rich source of selenium, vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as zinc, iron and copper. The egg yolk is also packed full of nutrients like fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K and lecithin. Eggs are rich in nutrients that promote heart health such as betaine and choline.

Pine nuts provide buttery yet crunchy texture and are high in many plant-based nutrients, essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin E, manganese, potassium and calcium. They are also high in heart healthy monounsaturated fatty acids that help to lower cholesterol levels in the body. They contain essential fatty acids that aid in weight loss by helping to keep you fuller for longer.

Like tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes are not only delicious but also full of antioxidants, vitamins and good-for-you minerals. The antioxidants present protect your health by neutralising free radicals and reducing inflammation.
