Pine nuts contain a natural source of vitamin E which is great for contributing to normal blood cholesterol levels, healthy bones and protecting cells from oxidative stress. Pine nuts also contain hearth healthy fats and some plant protein.
Chef Andy's dressing is made with virgin olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, pasteurised egg yolks, garlic and basil. It's zingy, garlicy and punchy! Olive oil is rich in heart healthy fats such as omega 6 and omega 3, which are essential fats that cannot be made in the body and must be consumed. It contains high levels of monounsaturated fatty acids thereby reducing levels of LDL or bad cholesterol while increasing levels of HDL or good cholesterol.
