    Almost perfect!

Posted by Barb M on 18th Jan 2021

The dressing on this salad had a wee hint of a garlic aftertaste, with a lovely pesto flavour! The chicken had a nice kick to it, and the lettuce was nice and crisp. I was not very hungry, more peckish, and found this salad to be the perfect size for satisfying my hunger! I would highly recommend this salad!

This unique Chicken Caesar salad with Chef Andy's signature Caesar dressing, makes the perfect nutritious and light lunch for people on the go. We make 100's of these salads each week making it by far one of our most popular salads.

Delicious, succulent chicken breast and sundried tomatoes laid on bed of Cos lettuce, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and tasty pine nuts.

Cos lettuce is great source of Vitamin B2, used for fighting the damaging particles in the body, known as free radicals (free radicals can damage cells and DNA, and may contribute to the aging process) which helps our organism to produce energy from food as well as providing a better immune system.

Pine nuts contain a natural source of vitamin E which is great for contributing to normal blood cholesterol levels, healthy bones and protecting cells from oxidative stress. Pine nuts also contain hearth healthy fats and some plant protein.

Chef Andy's dressing is made with Virgin Olive Oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, pasteurised egg yolks, garlic and basil. It's zingy, garlicy and punchy! Olive oil is rich in heart healthy fats such as omega 6 and omega 3, which are essential fats that cannot be made in the body and must be consumed. It contains high levels of monounsaturated fatty acids thereby reducing levels of LDL or bad cholesterol at the same time increasing levels of HDL or good cholesterol.

Parmesan cheese contains protein and calcium which is beneficial for bone health and efficiently helps in maintaining optimal body weight. Both lettuce and Sundried tomatoes naturally contain Vitamin A which plays a role as an antioxidant and prevents eye sight deterioration.
